What subjects/grade levels do you tutor?
We tutor all grades, elementary, middle, and high school students. We have a variety of successful High School students on our team who range from sophomores to seniors. So, we are equipped to tutor any subject for all grades, including many senior subjects such as AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, and other high-level classes.
How do I schedule sessions?
To schedule sessions, please either fill out a request form on our "Contact Us" page, or email us at goldtutoring.co@gmail.com. Once you provide what subjects your student needs help in, we will recommend a tutor that best fits your child and the subject. From there, we will work together with the tutor to schedule sessions. Commonly, we will set up weekly sessions that take place at the same time each week, however, if you have a busy schedule, our tutors can work with you to find times that fit best for you.
How do I cancel a session if I can't make it?
If you need to cancel a session, cancellations should be made at least 24 hours before the session. To cancel, please either notify us through email (goldtutoring.co@gmail.com) or you can text us at 214-783-9066. If you cancel within 24 hours of your session, we do have a cancellation fee of $20. If you have a last minute illness or emergency and have to cancel last minute, we completely understand and we can discuss from there. We appreciate your understanding that our tutors reserve their time for your student.
Why should I hire a high school student as a tutor?
As high school students, we have access to class materials and other useful tools that are not available to adult tutors. Additionally, many of our tutors have had the same teacher as the student we are tutoring because we most likely go to the same school, or used to go to the school. With that, we have a great understanding of the particular teaching style of each teacher and therefore, we can not only help tutor in a way that your student understands best, but we can also tie it back to the teacher’s style as well. We also have experience with the FISD curriculum and lesson plans and are familiar with what your student is learning now and in the near future.
How do I pay?
We will send you a PayPal within 1-3 days of the session.
Where does the session take place?
Usually, the session takes place at the tutor’s house, however, if you would prefer to have it at another location, our tutors are happy to accommodate. We have had sessions at the house of the student, or places such as the Frisco Public Library and at school in the Frisco High School library.
How are the tutors assigned to students?
Each tutor has a specialty subject(s), so we recommend certain tutors to each specific request based on the subject, as well as age/grade of the student. However, if you would like to request for a specific tutor, please take a look at the “Our Team” page and include the tutor of your choice in your request.
